A Life More Ordinary The Unfurlings

The Unfurlings

We released a book featuring the "Banners for Hope and Change" created by people living with dementia in collaboration with three DEEP (Dementia Engagement & Empowerment Project) groups: DEEP Vibes Scarborough, York Minds and Voices and Face It Together (FIT) in Bradford. The three groups worked with Ian BeesleyIan McMillan and Tony Husband to create a series of banners to highlight and give voice to some of the problems and concerns faced by people with dementia. For more information you can visit the dedicated unfurlings website: https://theunfurlings.org.uk/

A pdf of the book can be downloaded from here (PDF, 6.75MB).

These two photographs were taken at The Unfurlings Exhibition, People’s History Museum, Manchester, December 2019‌.
